About The Purple Owl
The Purple Owl began as a conversation between a mother and daughter —
and a dream we carried for years.
We have always believed that beauty, intention, and craft still matter.
Our home was always filled with paper scraps, plant cuttings,
half-finished ideas, and long talks about “someday.”
One of us built a career in interior design and startups,
learning how thoughtful spaces are shaped and sustained.
The other spent more than thirty years at the craft table,
layering petals, cutting paper by hand,
and turning simple materials into something meaningful.
Over time, we realized those paths were never separate.
The Purple Owl is where they meet.
It is where hand-shaped paper botanicals sit beside carefully curated gifts. Where plants are grown with patience. Where every card, notebook, and
arrangement is assembled slowly, deliberately, and with care.
In a world that moves quickly, we choose to work with our hands. In a culture that feels disposable, we believe in objects that are tactile and lasting.

Purple has always been my favorite color.
I never really chose it — it just always felt like mine.
And I’ve always loved owls. There’s something steady about them.
Quiet. Watchful. Comforting.
When I was little, my dad once brought me home an owl as a gift.
It wasn’t the prettiest thing, but it became special to me.
It sat nearby and somehow made things feel a little more grounded.
Over time, that owl came to represent comfort and home —
a reminder that even small things can carry meaning.
So when we began dreaming about building something together,
the name felt natural.
